Hi everybody
I'm looking for info about french bomber LéO 451 ser. no. 268 from GB II/31, which took part in attacks on Wehrmacht ground forces in Abbeville/Amiens area on May31, 1940, and accord. to one french site was shot down by Luftwaffe fighters. All the best |

Indeed it was
GB II/31 (6 LeO 451) was tasked to bomb enemy assembly points between Amiens and Abbeville. They lost three aircraft, No 29, 73 and 268, the latter shot down in flames. The ATB book "The Battle of France" has this plane shot down by a Bf 109 of III/JG 53 does not mention the pilot. The Prien JG 53 book claim list it could be either:

Shot down by III/JG53....it's possible but no certain.
