A few weeks ago Franck- “ouidjat’ - PMed me asking if had heard from Dan recently. Specifically, his absence was noted from the and other discussion boards on topics that would naturally have drawn his attention. I reached out to him but no response.

Thus I was stunned to learn today from Marc Proulx on Facebook that Dan had passed away last June (!). I am completely stunned by this news!

Dan suffered from MS and early last year moved from Oregon to Texas for better weather that asssted his health. I last chatted with Dan in the late spring and we shared a keen interest in the Me 262. Since the publication of his book I have been working with him to update his files, essentially his original book's manuscript for possibly an updated/revised edition.

God, where done one begin to process this terrible news. RIP Dan, and your beloved Jean.
