unidentified claimants within JG 26.
This will take some doing. Don Caldwell has covered JG 26 very well, yet these still stump him. There would appear to be no problem with misidentification of Geschwader, but I would rule nothing out as generally JG 26 pilots are well documented.
29th April 1944 1846 hrs Hurricane 9./JG 26 Ofw "B......W"(but could be anything) 13th April 1944 1550 hrs B-17 11./JG 26 Ogefr "Aubran" 13th April 1944 1325 hrs B-17 5./JG 26 Uffz "Maichhauer" This was shared I believe with Walter Matoni who hit it at 6000 metres, and this unidentified claimer at 2000 metres within the same minute. If anybody has Matoni's combat report it may very well show this pilots name. All for the same month which tells us something........schrawl. Kind Regards Johannes |
Re: unidentified claimants within JG 26.
This is maybe also of interest, as we dont have his name, we don now if he had claimed any aircraft.
