274 sqn Hurricane '204'? January 1942

I am trying to identify the actual serial of a Hurricane in the 274 sqn ORB of January 1942. Twice on the 28th the Danish pilot S E van der Aa Kuhle flies an aircraft that is identified as a Hurricane and numbered '204'.

The most obvious guess would be that it is the three digits of af two letter and three digits serial code, but I have not yet been able to locate them in the volumes of Halley RAF Aircrafts that I am in possession of.

Would any of you gentlemen have an idea.

TIA

February 12th Sgt McDonnell had 1-0-1 victories in Hurricane DG204 (according to Those Other Eagles). Maybe that's your kite?

Hi,

Wasn't DG204 a prototype Meteor ?

Thanks John and Allan,
For the time being I only have the Dec 41 and Jan 42 ORB, so I am not able to se the Feb 12th entry for comparison. I also have the DG204 as a Meteor, but it's a lead to follow.´

What puzzles me though is, that it is the only a/c during these two month, that is noted by its full serial.

As seen in the other aircrafts flown by P/O S E van der Aa Kuhle during these month there a Hurricane from the DG-range (DG631)
