John William Brooks shot down
John Brooks, DFC DFM, who flew with squadron 174 was shot down over France. He bailed out safely and saved by the resistance.
I am looking for information about this crash : date, circumstances, place, evasion etc.. (I happened to know him when I was young, he told me some stories (that I should have written down..) and he even gave me a map he used during the Battle of Britain) Thanks a lot, as usual.. Gilles |
Re: John William Brooks shot down
Gilles-his daughter Eugenie has loaned his logbook to a museum so she could answer this when she has time. You did make contact with her?
