Help Wanted " Luftwaffe Kompas ?"
hello everybody ,
i am having a problem finding from where this compas is comming from , some say that its it luftwaffe , others says that this is of a german boat ??? i think more of an aircraft ( what aircraft ?)becouse if you look good , you wil see more than 100 springs around the border to minimise the vibrations. its german for shure : the plate marks are : " MUTTERKOMPAS " " Hersteller GVY WERK N°18706 " http://www.topmilitaria.com/user_images/6341555.jpg http://www.topmilitaria.com/user_images/4871615.jpg http://www.topmilitaria.com/user_images/2363826.jpg i would realy apreciate al the help in finding this kompas, becouse i am looking years now , and nowbody cane give me a corret explanation about it. It looks like a standard Lw Mutterkompass to me.

...and it is also listed here with mention of it being fitted to a diverse selection of Luftwaffe types. There are also images here with mention of it being fitted in a Bf109 and if you navigate down this page, you find a compass fitted within the fuselage of an Arado Ar96B...

The word "compass" may easily be misunderstood. In fact, it is the remote sensing unit for the main indicator unit.
