Help SAAF WW2 ranks - meaning of T and A before rank

Good afternoon for all.

Am having a bit of trouble in finding the meaning of the T before the rank of T/Lieutenant on the SAAF and the meaning of the A before the rank of A/Sgt in the SAAF in WW2.

Could A being Acting likewise in RAF service ?

Could T being Technical or Temporary ?

Any help most welcomed. I have tried to find something on the net but got no joy yet.

Adriano.

Found here:

A = Acting
T = Temporary (both likewise in the RAF)

I had never seen before Sergeant rank...hence my questioning....

A great site for anyone interested in the SAAF and their airmen (especially those in Commonwealth squadrons).
