Abbreviation F.d.F.

What does F.d.F. stand for? Clues are that it is the unit which operated the governmental aircraft (Fw 200 for Dönitz, Himmler etc) and I'm looking for the formal name of that unit.

Am I right in assuming that Lufthansa was connected in some way, either by supplying crews or in maintanence of the aircraft?

Re: Abbreviation F.d.F.

F.d.F reads Fliegerstaffel des Führers, Hitler's personal air squad.

You are correct with your assumption.
