On this date, Flt Sgt R F Broad was shot down and killed near Vladslo and Flt Lt A Houston shot down and captured east of Dixmude. Cause is said to be Flak but can anyone confirm this and give more accurate locations? Broad is buried at Vladslo and I visited his grave over the weekend

RL5-1447 p67 confirms that the plane was shot down by flak unit 4./956 (E.Tr)

Thanks Luc. No precise location for Broad but Houston came down at Handzame 3 minutes later a victim of 3./956

Thanks Larry. They were reported attacking a train at Roulers and then were shot down west of the attack which matches up with Wynendaele and Dixmuide. It looks also like 3./732 (v) got Plt Off Tad Turek of 609 Sqn off Le Treport also that afternoon
