Jack Huffman (1922-2007) U. S. Army Air Corps Air Transport Command
 

I wonder if anybody here can come up with more information about my son's grandfather-in-law. Especially his war years.

This is what I know:

Jack Huffman, (September 29, 1922 - April 24, 2007)....After High School Jack attended Indiana State College (University), he attended Roscoe Turner Aeronautical Academy; he attended and graduated from Northeast Airlines Flight Officer Course. He went to work for the Airline until he was inducted into the U. S. Army Air Corps Air Transport Command. He served in Long Beach, CA, Casa Blanca, Morocco, Naples, Italy, and then spent the last year and a half at Istres Air Force Base, in Istres France. He returned home and was discharged from the service in April of 1946.
