Ju 52 pilot (Flugzeugführer)

Hi All,
where would I find the name Johann Kickenweiz,
a Ju 52 pilot, evidently for transportation tasks. Close to war end, because of lack of planes, he was transferred to the infantry.......
Thx
ginamod

Dear FrankieS,

please excuse my long dely replying to your mail.
Private obstacles.
Many thx for your effort on Kickenweiz, Ju 52 pilot, somewhere in NS service.
All the names you mentioned i know, but they know nothing about Kickenweiz Hans ´s flying carreer.

I only got wise, that there have been very many Ju52 pilots from Crete to Berlin, Stalingrad etc etc. Sorry to say, that i never interviewed my uncle precisely about his pilot experiences. Now gone for ever.
All the best ginamod
PS Hope my text comes through, a longer contents was evidently interrupted by logging me out before having finished it.

Hi, dear Ginamod,

thank you for the update.

As many (I feel), we find ourselves on this board
looking/asking for more details on lives and fates of our relatives.
And time ran out now for doing 1:1 interviews.

I also did a lot of research on my uncle's crew (MIA)

https://asn.flightsafety.org/wikibase/66105

and received super-excellent help and information on this loss
here on this very forum.

......

The good news is that after all this time at least the archives
(D, UK, U.S.) are ever more open (also online) than15-20 years before.

Good luck !

bye bye,
FrankieS
