Michael J. F. Bowyer, aviation historian
 

Michael Bowyer died on July 13th aged 95. His service was at Cambridge Crematorium on August 12th at which Hawker Hurricane G-HUPW R4118 performed a flypast as a tribute .

Michael was a prolific author well known for his books " 2 Group -A Complete History 1936-1945, Mosquito with Martin C Sharp, Air Raid !, The Stirling Story, Fighting & Bombing Colours, Force For Freedom - The USAF in the UK since 1948. These are just a few of his titles.
