Incident Vickers Wellington Moerdijk area 18 May 1940?
 

Dear all,

I recently acquired a copy of the German claims reports in the Yearbook of the Flak searchlight Regiment 1 covering 1940 and early 1941. In it, I found a mention of a claim stating that, on the 18th May 1940, searchlights of this Regiments coned a Vickers Wellington that was subsequently shot down by Flak and crashed at Moerdijk (S. of Dordrecht).

I have no fitting British bomber loss on either 17-18 or 18-19 May 1940. It may of course be that the bomber in question escaped from the encounter -who has information on such an incident on either of these two nights that could fit to this claim?
