RAF Wing Commander Air Evacuation - NW Belgium Oct 1944

The War Diary for October 1944 of the British 720 Road Construction Company, Royal Engineers, tells that on the 11th the 'Wing Cdr Air Evacuation visited site." Site here is ALG B.63 Bruges-St. Croix in process of being refurbished at that time.

Purpose of visit to far from finished airfield not mentioned.

What organization would this (RAF) Wing Commander have answered to, so to perhaps find more about that unit and/or person?

Thanks for info,

Leendert
