I ask for help in establishing the authorship of the sinking of the German ship MADRID (8777 GRT) on December 9, 1941.
There is a description of a successful attack on the ship by Beauforts of the 217th squadron.

Please note that RAF/RCAF sqns are never referred to as 407th unlike American sqns. Just 407 Sqn
