Oblt.Hessel 15.(Z)/LG 1
 

Hi,
please I am looking for information on Oblt.Hessel.
At the beginning of the war he was a member of 15.(Z)/LG 1 (15.8.1940 1.Ls).
Later he was probably StaKa 6./ZS 2. He did not survive the war.
Does anyone have more information please?

There are three photos of him in the V./LG 1 history but no christian name. Just says he did not survive the war

There is a Oblt. Ernst Hessel, geb. 05.12.1918 Mauthausen, gefallen 31.7.1943 bei Ecardenville in the VDK Database. Probably the same guy?

An Oblt. Ernst Hessl, with same birth details, was reported as kiled in flying accident on 31.7.43 in Hs 129 B-2, WNr. 140732, 6./Schl.G. 101...

Must be the same guy

I too have that claim and should have checked first! This should match as SG 101 came from ZS 2
