Flicking through the Kettling photos it looks like Stavanger Sola? I./ZG 76 first arrived there around 22 April 1940. Elements moved to Trondheim around 18 May 40 and then back to Stavanger-Forus around 16 July 1940. However, I am happy to be proved wrong!

Re: Can anyone provide the date and location of this Bf 110 photograph?
mid April to mid May 1940 - Stavanger Sola, mid May to mid June 1940 - Trondheim-Vaernes, mid May to August 1940 - Vaerlose and mid June to Septemebr 1940 Stav. Forus...
To me it looks like Vaerlose was kind of back up base and parts of I.Gruppe or some crews flew there for maintenance or so. As this plane was lost on 15.8.1940, the time span is between May to August 1940. |

Hi. definitely Værnes - or Drontheim-Vaernes as the germans called it. And think we can extend the timeframe - as one of the hangars is in the process of beeing build in the background. Looks like it ended up in the airfield dump.
