Aircraft Crash 18/7/45

Hi All, trying to find the aircraft / Pilot from a crash on 18th July 1945 at RAF Peterhead(Longside).

The plane hit a lorry on the airfield, the driver was killed.

Anybody any info?

That was a Mustang IV KH643 from 611Sq which came in to land from Tangmere.
The pilot saw the truck and tried to get airborne again but aircraft stalled and ended up on top of
the lorry
