The caption on the Macchi 205 is interesting: "Htm. Deike am Start"

I guess this was Oblt. Deicke, the Staffelkapitän of 6./JG 77 who had Macchis in late 1943.

Yes, Nick, the caption is interesting, but the photo is really of indifferent quality, to the point that the only visual clue that it could be a German-flown one is the spiral on the spinner... ;)
