unidentified Recon claimants
 

Hi Guys

I am no reconnaissance expert and have several unidentified claimants:-

Eastern front:-

31st January 1944 1./NaG 31 Lt "Kraisunbruck" 1100 hrs
15th September 1944 2./NaG 4 Ofw Weichnach" 1535 & 1539 hrs
16th August 1944 1./NaG 8 Oblt "Dormagen" 0655 hrs

Western front:-

19th August 1942 1(f)./AG 123 Uffz "Scheuner" 1100 hrs Spitfire
7th August 1943 1(f)./AG 122 Fw "Scheuner" 0745 hrs P-47(same guy ?)
7th August 1944 1(f)./AG 122 Fw "Piwa" 0745hrs P-47

These have puzzled me for decades, so any suggestions gratefully received.

15th September 1944 2./NaG 4 Ofw Weichnach" 1535 & 1539 hrs =Ofw.Weichert

19th August 1942 1(f)./AG 123 Uffz "Scheuner" 1100 hrs Spitfire = Uffz.Schürer

7th August 1943 1(f)./AG 122 Fw "Scheuner" 0745 hrs P-47(same guy ?) = Fw.Schauner

Hi

Kraisunbruck certainly is not Kollenbrink, and Weichnach certainly not Weichert, the other two are more difficult to read, so do check the Karoband attachments.

But thanks for all the interest, we will finally work it out.

As usual, I'd recommend checking against this source, to see whether the interpretation you arrive at exists as a family name in Germany today.
