Information concerning loss of Leutnant Snno von Heimberg - 26.11.42 - KG40
 

Hi,

I am looking for further information on the loss of Leutnant Annon von Heimberg.

I know he was with 5./KG40 and was killed on the 26.11.42 but lack further details about his aircraft, crew, mission and who shot him down.

The information on Ebay inferreed hw was shot down in an air battle with the English.

Any help would be vry much appreciate.

GQM loss return 28 Nov 1942 item 65:
26.11.42 V./KG 40 crash near airfield Quimper, loss category 22 = destroyed without enemy action on a non-operational flight, probably due to a servicing fault (Absturz, Aufschlagbrand, vermutlich Bedienungsfehler), Ju 88 C-6 WNr. 360026, 100%.
