Flugbuch Martin Drewes?

Dear all,

I am looking for a complete copy/scans of the Flugbuch of Martin Drewes. I do have a poor quality and incomplete copy of his Flugbuch; who can supply me with a complete one?

Cheers and thanks for any help,

Theo

Theo,
I met him twice, back in 1996 and he told me that his Flugbüchen were lost during the war. But he mentioned that his first marriage did not go well and maybe his earlier Flugbuchs were kept by his former wife, back in Germany...do not know.
If memory does not fail me, his Bordfunker's Flugbuch survived the war.
Since he flew from 1940 onwards, does the copy you do have cover his early training or only his combat period? I mean, his full career was completed on a single Flugbuch or did he had more than one, during the war? I believe that at least two, but am not sure....
I would be interested in putting my eyes throughout this full career and all flights...most particularly his earlier period with ZG 76 and training days.

Hi Adriano,

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have the Handke (BF) Flugbuch but this one is not fully copied from the original. I know for a fact that at least one Flugbuch of Martin Drewes survived the war as I've seen parts of his FB covering 1943!

Cheers, Theo

Is the name Rudolf Wilus relevant? Was he a member of the crew? Two of his flugbucher were offered at a sale by Dominic Winter Auctioneers dated May 8, 2024. See page 131 here:

Thanks for the pointer Ed, but Wilus (or Wilms as I read it on the cover of the FB) was not a member of the Drewes crew.

Cheers, Theo
