Online talk 26 March 12pm EDT on B-17s
A Conversation With…
Cory Graff, The National WWII Museum Wednesday, March 26 12:00 PM EDT Register Join Executive Director Brandon Gregory in an engaging conversation on the B-17 Flying Fortress with Cory Graff, aviation expert and curator at The National WWII Museum. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...eid=32b7878e98 The B-17 dropped more bombs than any other US aircraft during WWII. A lot of these aircraft flew out of bases in England, as part of the USAAF’s daylight strategic bombing campaign. The B-17 was known as a hardy, reliable aircraft, but very few remain. Cory and Brandon will discuss the history of the B-17 and its role in the USAAF’s strategic bombing campaign, and talk about why its legacy endures. |
