Crash HR819 at 13.07.1943
Dear friends in the forum,
today I don't need any help for myself, but for a Dutch friend. Together with other people, she has investigated the crash of HR819, located the actual crash site and found small pieces of wreckage. You can find more about this here http://www.planehunters.be/.../2020/10/Halifax-HR819.pdf. So, everything is known about the plane, the crew and the crash. What is missing is the initial burial of the crew. Allegedly, this was done in Mönchengladbach, but there are no German records of this. And the British authorities do not provide any information, citing data protection. Who among you can help and has access or even the records showing the initial burial? I would be very happy if someone could help here. Thanks in advance and best regards, Manni |
