P-47 vs B-24 9. August 1944

Hello,
the crew from B-24 41-28942 (Air Raid RR Saarbrücken) was damaged by german Flak and the crew bailed out. The plane do not want to go down and was later shoot down by two P-47. I'm not sure they where from 56th FG. If so, are there an combat record for the "Kill" of an B-24 by this FG?
