Catalina vs. Bf 109, Italy 1943
Hallo,
on 23 August 1943, an OA-10 Catalina was shot down over Salerno, Italy by german pilots of JG 53. Please, do you know any details? According to the MACR list, it was supposed to carry the number 42-109023, but a plane of the same number crashed as early as 27 July 1943 at Zandery Field in Suriname. Thanks, Jan |

Sorry friends, my inattention, the last three (all from the 14th Fighter Group) were not passengers but witnesses!
