Information concerning the loss of Oberfeldwebel Josef Mayr - killed 21.09.1943

Hi,

Please can someone provide information on the loss of Oberfeldwebel Josef Mayr who was killed on the 21st September 1943 in the East.

He was an exprienced flier - being 30 - and having won EK I and Deutschen Kreuze in Gold.

GQM loss return 1 Oct 1943 item 39:
21.9.43 NAGr 9 loss location Straße von Kertsch, reason of loss aerial combat, Fw 189 A-2 WNr. 2350, 100%.
F Uffz Fritz Ohm
B Ofw Josef Mayr
Bs Uffz Herbert Winter, all missing
