Hello,

is anyone able to help with following questions? I would like to know the exact date of his USMC joining and also when he left the USMC.

As noted in Frank Olynyk’s Stars and Bars, while commander of VMF-215 MAG-46 MCAS El Toro, he was injured in an SBD landing crash as a passenger on 12/6/1944. His injuries were such that he was eventually medically retired in September 1947.
