Messerschmit Me110 of II./ZG1
I'm looking for the pilots Uffz. Schuller and Ofw. Uhlig which were both flying a Messerschmitt Me110 of II./ZG1 (Destroyerwing 1 or Zerstörergeschwader 1) on May 24th, 1944 and both claimed to shoot down a P38 over Lower Austria.
We have found the crashplace of probably one of those P38 and excavated some parts of that plane. Now, we are trying to get information about the Messerschmitts and P38s and it's pilots. About the P38 I will state in the subforum about Allies. Most of interest is where the destroyer were based that day. Maybe someone has a picture of the planes or it's pilot or knows a source where I could get such. I'm thankful for any information regarding this case. Regards from Austria, Kurtl |

Re: Messerschmit Me110 of II./ZG1
Hello,
Thanks for your response! What does "11.40 Film C. 2027/II Anerk: Nr.69" mean? Does there a movie from the gun-camera exists? From where you got that information? Thanks, Kurtl |
Re: Messerschmit Me110 of II./ZG1
11.40 is the time of the claimed victory
"Film C. 2027/II Anerk: Nr.69" means that this victory is the 69th listed in the microfilm C. 2027/II in the German archives. |
