607 Sqn Pilots 1942

Can anyone tell me the initials or christian name of WO Dutraky and Plt Off MacDonald who were with 607 in the UK early 1942? Former's name might be incorrectly spelled

Thanks John. Going back into 1941 in the ORB shows P MacDonald (Aus); killed 11 Mar 43

Chris

In case you hadn't seen it, if you search Google for mcdonald 404687 raaf there is a link to a pdf file from Toowoomba Grammar School (tgsoba.twgs.qld.edu.au) with a detailed biography of him.

Re: 607 Sqn Pilots 1942

I have gone through the (poor) 607 Sqn ORB for last month of 1941 and first 3 of 1942. The last query is mentioned twice as Dutuaky and Dutraky so no further forward!

Seems definitely not a Czech as I can find no such name on either of the two sites that I know list Czech aircrew. Namely Free Czechoslovak Air Force: https://fcafa.com/2010/05/19/d-2/

and Czech RAF Crew:

Re: 607 Sqn Pilots 1942

Thanks Tom. I have checked after they went to the Far East and no mention of him in the F540. Irritatingly, for the first 3 months of 1942, there is no Record of Events just a Summary which appears very hit and miss!

Re: 607 Sqn Pilots 1942

There is no such name, so it must have been badly misspelled.
No Czech nor Polish seems to match.
The closest French is René-Marcel DUTREY-LASSUS but AFAIK he only flew bombers. I do not have a list of Belgians or Dutch to check.
