Uffz Hans Vorhauer, 2./JG 1, 6 July 1943
This pilot, who was killed in action 10 October 1943, was credited with a P-47/P-51 70 km NW Zandvoord at 2155hrs on this date. Two pilots from 56 Sqn reported two Fw 190s strafing ground targets in the Ludham area and on trying to intercept, were attacked themselves, one Typhoon shot down, the other damaged. If this was Vorhauer + 1, what were they doing over Ludham?

Vorhauer was chasing a P-47 westwards over sea so I do not think they are a match?

Re: Uffz Hans Vorhauer, 2./JG 1, 6 July 1943
Times match as does location. I interviewed surviving Typhoon pilot who confirms both of them were each attacked by Fw190s. 195 Sqn also scrambled two Typhoons at 2155hrs to intercept 2 x Fw 190s (failed to find them) and Brian Bines confirms that 3 places in Norfolk were strafed
