MIA -> JG51 on March 20, 1945 (Bf109)
Hello,
Obfeldw REINHART Emil 20.03.1945 II. Gruppe / JG51 KilledInAction (KIA) 20 March, 1945, crashing near Stuhlweissenburg (Heinrich Breuer) https://aircrewremembered.com/Kracke...rch_type=exact Is the location of pilot Emil REINHART's loss 100% certain? Is this the only loss from JG51 on March 20, 1945 (Bf109)? Was there another loss from JG51 on that day? (place: Horst, ....?) I have information that there was a pilot from Group IV JG51 (POW) in the Horst. Best regards, Kris |

Kris
The Balss March 1945 edition of Luft. Losses and Claims shows Rienhart as taking off from Raab (Gyor) and missing in the Stuhlwessenburg area (Szeksfehervar) There is also a scond loss of Ofhr Schuhmacher of1/JG 53 with take off from Veszprem and MIA Varpalota area . As regards the Horst location Google Earth shows a Horsti birtok which is some distance from the Varpalota area ? Regards Brian Bines |

The pilot crash-landed a Bf109 on March 20, 1945, at Horst and was captured by the Russians.
Who could have been this pilot from IV./JG51 ? |
Re: MIA -> JG51 on March 20, 1945 (Bf109)
Uffz. Karl-Heinz Streckert, 14./JG 51, POW, Raum Danzig. He did not return after the war.....

Thank You John !
Since the airport was already cut off by the Russians, it probably happened when they were moving along the Baltic coast to Garz. |
