Loss of He 111 H-4 2./KG 28 20 Jun 41
This is a joint Allied/Luftwaffe post. This aircraft came down off Newlyn, Cornwall at 0419hrs killing Lt Josef Wimmer and his crew. Its demise was according to the K report due to HMT Capston (in fact Capstone) with a direct hit from its 12 pdr gun . Can anyone confirm this or add anything to the story?
