Hab wieder eine Frage, und zwar geht Ofw. Willi Reschke schreibt in seinem Buch Jagdgeschwader Wildesau auf s. 212 Aufstellung eines Stabschwarmes mit Ta152 folgendes ...... werden die vorhandenen Ta152 dem Geschwader Stab unterstellt und dort in einem Stabsschwarm zusammengefasst. Mit*Wirkung vom 13. März wurden folgende Piloten der III./JG301 zum Geschwader Stab versetzt
was heißt mit - mit Wirkung ? war das ein Befehl ?, wer hat diesen ausgestellt, und wo bekomme ich zumindest eine Kopie des Dokuments her ?

Willi Reschke writes in his book Jagdgeschwader Wildesau on page 212 Setting up a staff swarm with Ta152 the following ...... the existing Ta152s are subordinated to the squadron staff and grouped there in a staff swarm. With effect from March 13, the following pilots from III./JG301 were transferred to the squadron headquarters
what does with - with effect mean? Was that an order?, who issued it, and where can I get at least a copy of the document?

With effect means the date the order is or is to be executed. Eg. on 10 March an order of transfer was issued with the effect on 13 March, and it means that the men were ordered on 10 March to appear at new place exactly on 13 March. Sometimes there is immediate effect phrase used, which is self explanatory.

Hello Frank,

If Reschke writes this, he must have (had) a written order or war diary reference at hand to make such a statement. I get the impression that this source is used without a footnote ?
That is not so strange: some historical events are based on a combination of different sources and it would take a second volume exclusively filled with source references to explain each statement in a written chronicle.
