Contact with German POW family in Canada

Can any of our Canadian members help me track down the family of a He 111 pilot Otto Krueger who lived in Kilbarry Crescent, Ottawa? Long gone now but maybe family still live in the area?

It's difficult to track people down, one source is the Department of Defence website, which provides info on specific people.

Thanks Vince. Not sure if he served in the RCAF or Canadian military but was taken POW over London in May 1941

Thanks Ed. I don't want to know about his time as a POW but he emigrated to Canada after the war and I am trying an easy way to track down relatives in the hope they can tell me more about his time with I./KG 28

If you like, I have some contact with the German-Canadian Congress and can make enquiries on your behalf.

Gentlemen,

There were plenty of Luftwaffe pilot veterans that went to Canada to live after WWII. Quite a few were in the Canadian military, maybe in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Krueger maybe was in the RCAF.

I knew several quite well, including Jupp Buerschgens, Ecki Priebe and Heinz Altendorf. Chris, I did make enquiries regarding your man, and got nowhere, unfortunately.
