Help request with identifying shot down Ju 87 D/G, 1945 (?)
Hello,
A few months back, I bought a photograph taken by, as it appears, Polish soldiers fighting on the Eastern Front, either from the Polish 1st or 2nd Army, maybe even the Polish 1st Armored Corps. In the picture, there are 2 soldiers, one is inspecting the wreck while the other poses for a photo next to the shot-down plane. The tail section, which seems to be the only relatively barely damaged part of the plane, holds the plane's werknummer, as I presume. Could someone help me decipher the number, or maybe point out if it could be one of the Ju 87 G-2 of SG2 lost in April of 1945? Here's the link to a fragment of the above-mentioned photo: https://imgur.com/a/5VttPQU Best regards, Bartłomiej |

Chris,
The link works for all except the UK - you need a VPN. Imgur withdrew from the UK due to our Internet Child Protection rules. For me the image if very bad, particularly around the werknummer..... |
