KG (J) 55 losses 1. Januar 1945
 

Hello,
at that day an Ofw. Siegfried Wesner was involved in an midair-crash with another pilot from the unit. He baild out, the other pilot killed, both planes crashed. I search for the type of airplane (Bf 109?) and the name from the other pilot. Any help is welcome!

I have Ofhr Siegfried Köhler, which belonged to 2./KG(J) 55 and crashed near Straubing with a Bf109. Ofw Köhler was wounded in the crash.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
Ofw Siegfried Wesner is unknown for me.

Ofw Wesner came from KG 53"Legion Condor. The 1.January 1945 was his first day with KG (J) 55 and when he landed his Bf 109 (?) another plane hit him and both crashed.He spent the rest of the wartime at an Hospital at Pilzen.
