information concerning loss of Luftwaffe man over Malta - 15.10.1942?

Hi,

I recently purchased a portrait of a Luftwaffe flier lost over Malta on the 15.10.1942.

There is not much information on him on the back other than he was called Martin and and it is signed by a member of the Sterke family.

Can anyone help.

All I could find was a 'B' Uffz Martin Herke of 3/KG 77 missing with crew Luca (Luqa ?) on 15.10.1942 believed to figther action this was on GQM dated 21.10.1942 page 7
