Can anyone provide details of the losses of the Ju 87B-1 Werk-Nr. 5159 and Werk-Nr. 5261 of II./StG.1 on the 8.3.1942?

GQM loss return 10 Mar 1942 item 35:
8.3.42 II./St.G. 1 near Kawkas, loss category 2 = destroyed by anti-aircraft artillery on operation flight/Totalverlust durch Flakbeschuss auf Feindflug, Ju 87 B-1 WNr. 5159 6G+DR 100%.
F Fw Alois Zitt missing
Bf Uffz Walter Stanek missing.

GQM loss retrurn 10 Mar 1942 item 36:
8.3.42 II./St.G. 1 near Kawkas, loss category 2, Ju 87 B-1 WNr. 5261 6G+DL 100%.

I am also interested in getting a copy of the Luftwaffe Gen.Quartiermeister loss records for free. Any advise from a man like me who has limited computer access and skills and limited German language skills?

Here's the step-by-step way of doing it online.

All the file references you need are in this post. However, don't enter the serial numbers as RL 2-III_184 etc. but as RL 2-III/184 and so on (i.e. use an oblique, not an underscore). Then:

1. Make sure your web browser isn't set to block pop-up windows.
2. Once you’ve got the Bundesarchiv Invenio portal … click "Suche ohne Anmeldung" and you get to the search screen.
3. At the top of the window, toward the centre, click "Suche".
4. Type the file reference into the box "Signatur" (be sure to type it exactly, the system doesn't accept near-misses).
5. Click on "Suchen" and the file details come up in the right-hand window.
6. At the bottom right, click on "Digitalisat anzeigen".
7. You should see page one of the file. At the top right, click "Download".
8. This gives you two options: "Gesamte AE (ZIP)" [= entire file] and "Seite 1 (JPG)" (= page 1", or whatever page you've scrolled to).
9. Then click "Download starten", sit back and wait.
