149 Squadron

Hi,

Can anyone please confirm when 149 (Bomber) Squadron was given the title "East India"? An approximate month and year would be very helpful. Nothing mentioned in the ORB.

Hi Steve. The Squadrons dedicated wholly as "East India" (only 4 actually) are here with dates, I'm afraid not too specific though.
No. 65 Aug. 1940
No.92 1940
No.123 May 1941
No.149 1942.
