Information concerning loss of Oberleutnant Hans Sonntag - killed 05.04.1941
 

Hi,

Can anyone provide additional information on the loss of Oberleutnant Hans Sonntag?

He was an experienced flier and leader of a stuka squadron - 4./StG2 - who was killed on a mission south of the Barca Pass in North Africa on the 5th April 1941.

He was lost with his gunner Feldwebel Heinrich Kieselhorst after their aircraft crashed as a result of an air battle. .E had the EK I,

Any additional help would be great.

GQM loss return 26 Apr 1941 item 33:
5.4.41 4./St.G. 2 near Bengasi, aerial combat with fighters, Ju 87 R-5 WNr. 6046 90%.
