USN Flight school candidates in 1941
I am spending far too much time on the quest for details of the comrades of George C. Duncan USN, but I am retired and my hobby is my life.
In addition to those enquiries I have posted recently I would like to know more of the careers of these cadets who were part of Duncan's class in 1941-42. Joseph W. Hughes - USS New Mexico Smith, Robert H. - USS Colorado Wallace, James B. - USS Omaha I assumed Hughes was a graduate of USNA, but the others may not have been. Once again, colleagues I call upon your knowledge and your detective skills. K |

Cheers Leendert. Reading the document it seems Wallace is a TBM piiot. He is only a Lieutenant when he takes command in early 1944 and does not appear to have seen any action prior to joining VC-92. He could have been an instructor I suppose.
