332nd FG claims 29 October 1944
Hello all
On the 29th October 1944 three pilots of the 99th FS escorted a F-5 to Munich, the flight was led by Capt Alfonza Davis who failed to return, and the two other pilots are believed to have been Quitman C Walker and Wilson Eagleson. This is based on Frank Olynyks Mediterannean claims list which notes for 29 October unknown pilots claim 2 FW 190s, but has in the notes colums the three names Davis, Walker and Eagleson. Thus I am assuming either Walker or Eagleson made the claims. The mission report as part of the History of the 332nd for October 1944 fails to mention any names, but makes it clear that one pilot made both claims. Does any one know who made the claims?
