I am cautious about reappraisals. At that point in the war, when things had to be cobbled together, you made the best choices you could.
I am more concerned about what JV 44 actually accomplished than the personalities or issues with those involved.

Some daily reports are missing but Bundesarchiv RL 2-II/389 has claims of 11 kills and 6 probables in seven days of operations over the period 9–26 April 1945 inclusive.
