Information concerning loss of Walter Streitberger - killed 06.02.1944 - Nachtjager
 

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the loss of Gefreiter Walter Streitberger who was part of a Nachtjagd crew and was lost on the 6th February 1944?

Hi Rick

He appears on the Grabersuche site as born 23.02.1923 buried at Bozen Italy .I Searched under 'Walter Streitberger Luftwaffe' and that took me to Kriegstote.org , clicked on Denkal oder Friedhof and looked up under his name . This says he was lost in a Do217 N of NJG 101 at Budweis Czech Republic (airfield nearby) noting he was an engineering student and that he was born and buried at Bolzano Italy. No mention in either Deutsche Nachtjagd losses Or Luftwaffe claims and Losses Feb 1944 by Micael Balss
