S/L S A Nielsen, 24 Squadron, RAAF
 

From the www.ww2roll.gov.au, www.itsanhonour.gov.au and NAA I have found information on a Danish (born at least) S/L Svend Aage Nielsen (270820). In September 1944 he is posted at the No. 1 Service Flying Training School and when discharged in June 1946, he is serving in the 24 Squadron, RAAF. He can be traced in the ORB of this squadron available on-line (se the posting on ORBs).

I would be interested in any further information on this pilot. I guess that being awarded the KCVS while at a SFTS could suggest a tour of operation before this time.
