I understand that he was shot down into the Channel during the Battle of Britain while with 6/JG52. Has anyone any details, please?

29.10.40 6/JG52 Lt.G.Barkhorn Bf109E-7 5922 yellow 2
s/d by fighters, ditching, after 2 hours saved from life boat. It was his 38 sortie.
