Hmmmm...."last tank busters"? Wouldn't that be the A-10 Warthog? :)

Very interesting, thanks for the link. I've always been fascinated by units such as Sonderkommando Bienenstock and their operations with these jury-rigged planes.

But doesn't legend have it that Stuka ace Rudel had some input into the A-10
design? So there maybe IS a link to this forum

Was not Rosie the Rocketeer an earlier 'design'? The latest such stuff I have seen was a French one, I believe called Baroudeur.
