I found interesting the position of upperwing cross in the first Me 109 photo. From memory I do not remember seeing one so close the wing root like this one.

concerning the B17 Shoot Down .

42-30050 (100th BG, 350th BS, *Judy D*) MIA on mission to Le Bourget Jul 10, 1943. MACR 268

This plane fas been probably shot down by the II/JG26 or the JG2 .

Yes, Jerry, it's a Rumanian Lockheed 10A, which crashed at Bucharest airport shortly before the war on East started.

Yes! I took a looking last night after arriving from my job. Interesting photo to complete the sequence!

I never figured before some Me 109 had the wing crosses in a inner position... Must open again my books to remove dust and refresh memory!
