Roger Freeman's book, Mustang at War, Doubleday 1974 has a chapter devoted to RAF Mustangs called "The Downstairs Maid". Pics and narrative.

Great book & with lots of profiles is Osprey Mustangs Aces of the Ninth & fifteenth Airforce & the RAF
